- 65% of callers to rape crisis centres are survivors of childhood sexual abuse

- Of these, 25,000 will have experienced rape or serious sexual assault - 8% of the adult female population

- Around 2,000 sexual offences a year are reported to the police in Devon and Torbay

- Only 11% of sexual offences are ever reported to the Police

- An estimated 20,000 rapes and sexual assaults go unreported in Devon and Torbay each year
